You will be asked to choose a religion at the start of every new character. The choices available are specific to your character's race
All blessings have Tenets, which state what is needed to grow the blessing's favor. Favor is used to determine bonuses from the follower powers as well as reaching the threshold(s) for Devotee. These scaling bonuses start as low as 1% devotion and go to a max of 200% devotion (for the values listed in the "up to" sections of the individual blessings)
There are Shrine Powers, Follower Powers, and Devotee Powers
Shrine Powers are given when the player worships at a shrine. This can also switch the players current blessing if they were not already worshipping this diety
Follower Powers are given when a player is worshipping a diety (granted from a shrine or at the beginning of the game), and typically grow in power by following the Tenets
Devotee Powers are given when the player uses the meditate/pray power from the spells menu and typically grants a unique power or interaction
Blessings can be changed at will by visiting shrines after character creation. Note that you can receive the shrine's blessing without changing dieties by selecting "no"
